This is my work from a collaborative project with Jonathan Powell, Kevin Jick and Alec Bickelhaupt.
Blue Valley is the first of four zones we are designing- an area inspired by coral formations. The planet was once peaceful but has been targeted as a colonization spot by humans, rupturing the peace that once existed. In an area to the East of Blue Valley, war has broken out, utterly destroying the beautiful land that once existed there. The citizens of the valley hold a meeting at Sikri, a sort of capital of their area, to find out how they can combat the deadly force that is approaching them.

A redesign of Dune- an ongoing project that will have pieces added to it over time. Most recent at the top. In this redesign, the Harkonnen won the final battle instead of the Atreides, forever transforming Arrakis in a more negative way. This redesign does not stay true to the books and is instead my own take on the universe.

Descend, a new Western story I will be developing.
The story takes place in Ballarat, a mining supply town in California. The local sherriffs are having trouble with bandit raids on the town... two sly merchants arrive in the city seeking profit, and a bounty hunter gets thrown in the mix- all culminating in an epic battle of deception.

Worldbuilding for Project ARK
Project Ark explores a dark future for humanity, where a scientific test destroys Earth's atmosphere and forces the population of our planet to seek unnatural shelter.
Most humans go underground- they build communities in the pipelines and sewers of the mega cities- trying to reform a way of life using what is left of the previous generation's technology.
Then there are those who chose to stay on Earth's surface, living in inhospitable conditions. They try only to survive in the toxic environment left to them.
The last group contains the rich and powerful from Earth's oligarchy- they have prepared for this moment and live in their impenetrable towers, living a life of abundance in the small utopias they have created.

This set is more of a planning rather than full on illustrations of the zone- trying to see what will be the correct look and mood for the area.
Color palettes and callouts are set up to go a bit further with the design- color exploration to fit it into an area of Blue Valley as a transition zone.

Burning Lakes is the second zone that our character ventures through.
In order to reach the human colony (called The Capitol) , our character has to journey across the desert.
Some say the Burning Lakes was caused by an all out war that took place on the planet when humans first moved in to colonize.
The area itself has a circular shape akin to a crater, and is filled with toxic gasses and acid pools. The only settlements are made by bandit tribes that constantly compete for stable land.
We join the Blue Valley citizens as they make their way towards the bandit king- asking for safe passage through Burning Lakes.

Behind Luithica's 'mask' of beauty there lies a much harsher reality. While the city's exterior conveys a utopia, the citizens are unaware of what happens behind the scenes.
This chamber is one of many that generate power for the city- Power cores are extremely effective in terms of their storage and efficiency but they also secrete chemicals and pollutants that erode the city's atmosphere.
This of course does not bother the oligarchy and power committee.

Our hero journeys across endless lands to the center of an ancient volcano to find the Ashen god Srai locked in chains, his crown brimming with fiery energy. In order to end his resurrection the main player scales the altar to end Srai's existence once and for all.
